Madagascar, a Journey Diary describes the journey of a European traveller who is confronted with the Famadihana tradition. The pages of the travelogue turn and the drawings come to life. Before we get acquainted with the Malagasy culture, we travel through the fertile landscape of Madagascar. This collage film is characterised by captivating graphic style.

Similarly to his successful 2010 film Madagascar, a Journey Diary director Bastien Dubois takes the audience to exotic nature and native people untouched by modern civilization who live isolated from the world events. The on-going war only reaches them as war aircrafts fly in the sky. At first, the planes are enchanting.

The twenty-episode-series “Faces from Places” by Bastien Dubois continues the captivating graphic style of his successful film Madagascar, a Journey Diary. This piece on Ivory Coast portrays a wax seller who introduces various types of fabric and its social meanings.

“Faces from Places” take us to twenty different places all around the world and introduce twenty different cultures. This episode about Pakistan introduces the annual festivities in the town of Lahore where each year the sky fills with thousands of flying kites and neighbours compare their kites from their rooftops. 

Another episode of the captivating and visually impressive series “Faces from Places” takes to Syria to meet the not very popular pigeon farmers on the rooftops of Damascus. They are said to be thieves and liars. But is it true? One of them tells us about his passion.

Another episode of “Faces of Places” that continues the captivating graphic style of Dubois’s successful Madagascar, a Journey Diary. In this episode we meet a survivor of the Haiti earthquake. He recounts the disaster and his life after the trauma it caused. 

In his series “Faces from Places,” Bastien Dubois portrays scenes from his travels and tells the stories of people from the whole world. This episode portrays two young men who build a raft to go down the river Dordogne and succumb to the charms of wild life.

This inventive music video for the rhythmical song Napséta that combines drawings and animated alphabet pasta takes us for a walk around Lake Balaton, up to the mountains and their dense forests and on the puszta, a typical Hungarian landscape with endless horizons! 

The graduation film Heritage by Zsolt Bukta is inspired by Hungarian folk music and culture. The author depicts the intergenerational relationship between the master and his disciple that carries its values through generations over centuries.

The MOME students Olivér Hegyi and Marcell Szénasi used colourful drawings, cut-outs and Claymation to make their graduation music video for a children’s song about dancing in a whirling skirt. The film builds on the aesthetics of children’s drawings and authentically presents their world.

This fast one-minute-long rap music video is based on a Hungarian children's poem by János Lackfi. The song is performed by the Hungarian rapper and beatboxer Pista Busa. The director created a suggestive ride on the border between narration and non-narration.

In this short film by Milán Kopasz a man dancing to the rhythm of the music creates, transforms and erases various colourful shapes. This inventive film is shot in a real space and combines more animation techniques.

Drawn upon art students’ blindfolded portrait drawings, a new face is about to be born in front of our very eyes. 

An intuitive ride through a world with twisted proportions will take is into space and also below the sea. The author uses a single shot to let us observe parts of stories in a world connected by a red line.

Enter is the first music video by the Hungarian band Bin-Jip. The singer wanders through a beautiful black and white world based on 16^th to 19^th century etchings and woodcuts. The Czech audiences will certainly be reminded of the aesthetics of Karel Zeman’s combined films. 

One day, when Hamlet and Ophelia enjoy their afternoon tea, their imagination is penetrated by something disturbing. While the prince leafs through a book and the girl embroiders, disturbing images appear out of nowhere. But is it just their imagination?

This short film is a visual concept for a future feature film about a gentleman called Henry Waltz. He lives on a little forgotten artificial planet full of fantastic machines. He unexpectedly gets into a situation in which he will need to save the planet.

The main characters of this dark horror-comedy are a young alcoholic and his pregnant wife who drive through the forest at night when the man hits a stag. Angered, he goes to the forest to punish the wounded animal. The film mainly uses puppet animation but combines also other techniques and styles.

This film is an experimental animated short based on the action, the activity which is presented constantly at every part of the world at every moment. It's built by accidentaly featured actions from this whirlwind of spiritual energies. Conversation between nature, creature and creativity.

Stereoscopic music video for Mountain King by the MTV European Music Award winners Kolin. This film about the flight to space combines several techniques – live action, stop motion animation, computer animation and cutout animation.

This atmospheric music video presents a graphically elaborate apocalyptic vision in a specific tempo. A stag, perhaps the last living creature, moves through a dying world and tries to make sense of what remains of the decomposing landscape.

A dark puppet music video that uses other, often unusual materials, tells the story of a man with a mask of a wild beast that goes on a quest to find the spirit of a longed-for woman. He undertakes a gruelling journey but the real question is whether he will be free at the end of it.

This music video will take us on a psychedelic trip into a world of growing plants and buds that are creating neat ornaments. The fly-bys through this space of floral motives have a dizzying tempo.

An image film for WWF Hungary in which the values that WWF stands for, become visible on the level of a micro-world; where everything refers to the slogan: “We are all connected”.

Consisting of 47 scenes, the film applies an unconventional narrative to present a unique subjective world of the characters. The small events, interlaced by associations, express the irrational coherence of our surroundings. Absurd and surreal situations stem from the interactions of humans and nature.
