Big Bang Big Boom

Blu | Italy | 2010 | 10 min

A non-scientific look on evolution and its unpleasant results. The film presents a beautiful cycle where one cannot tell the beginning from the end. It is the last and arguably the best film by the street artist who conceals his name under the nickname Blu. His paintings can be found on walls all around the world.

The Master's Voice: Caveirão

Guilherme Marcondes | France, Brazil | 2013 | 10 min

A typical representative of street animation is set in the night Sao Paolo when bizarre creatures and spirits of the city appear. The film mixes Brazilian cultural references with elements of fantasy, horror and classic grotesque. The carnival is then dismissed by a mysterious officer who also appears not of our world.

Babioles

Matray | France | 2010 | 5 min

Life on a landfill is grim and sad. A little whistling bunny got completely lost there and now it is trying to attract people´s attention in any way it can. In the end, the bunny and an Indian set off, heading for town. This film combines real-life footage of streets and 3D computer animation very smoothly. The pilot episode attracted lots of interest and many sequels have been made since.

You would not believe the mayhem a single old discarded TV can cause. The broken screen suddenly floods all of New York with monsters that everyone is familiar with! Or rather, everyone in their thirties who spent their childhood playing eight-bit games. After five years, the legendary short was adapted into a full feature film.

Rahova

David Možný | Czech Republic | 2008 | 6 min

The video was created from the footage taken in the Rahova neighbourhood in Bucharest, Romania. The author recycles and deconstructs known forms of large prefabricated panel buildings. The 1970's architecture fighting its own decomposition is subject to digital decomposition in the film. We cannot tell where the real world ends and where the 3D simulated reality begins.

Jan Kolegar, Lukáš Glaser | Czech Republic | 2010 | 5 min

As opposed to the preceding commercial animation, this disturbing video is considered only as an exercise by the authors themselves. Its description mentions a black rook's head that helps the Sun and the Moon to copulate. It's an interpretation of the work by Edward Kelly that also reveals the true nature of the streets of Prague.

The film elaborates the quote by Paul Klee that a line is a dot that went for a walk. The Brazilian director composed his film as an account of the gruelling work of a little man who is to draw such line on the road.
