Council of Animated Film

With the support of the Association of Czech Animation Film (ASAF) and the European Animation Awards Association (EEA), Anifilm has initiated the creation of the Council of Animated Film (RAF). The main aim of this informal initiative is to bring together prominent personalities of Czech animation – not only authors, directors, producers, animators and dramaturges, but also animation theorists, historians, critics, representatives of competitions, showcases, festivals and film pedagogues. The purpose of RAF is to achieve the common goal of its members to support, promote and make animated film visible both in the Czech Republic and abroad. That is being accomplished mainly by regularly making Czech animation accessible to the RAF members, rating it, awarding annual prizes in the Anifilm competition section Czech Horizon and through a direct connection to international activities – in particular to the European Animation Award Emile.
