Damúza: Golem
Czech Republic
A puppet fairy-tale inspired by old Jewish legends, particularly by the one about Golem. Our story is set during the reign of Rudolf II. Prague Castle hosts the most renowned alchemists and artists of their time. But a treacherous advisor tries hard to feather his own nest and so the emperor’s subjects have a hard time. Rabbi Löw therefore decides to summon a hero made of clay – Golem. But Golem’s strength is so great that even the emperor himself is overcome by a desire to take control over him and use him as a weapon of war. But thanks to the courage of Rabbi’s daughter Ester, the story – as it usually does in fairy-tales – ends well.
The performance takes 40 minutes and is suitable for children from 6 years of age.
