Industry programme

Part of the programme for film professionals is based on this year’s theme Hear Animation and brings a professional programme focused on music and sound aspects of animation. Renowned composer Serge Besset will talk about various aspects of his career during which he created scores for more than 400 films and won many awards. In his masterclass, sound engineer Juraj Mravec working mainly in England, will talk not only about his work on the film Kooky Returns. Italian musician and sound engineer Andrea Martignoni will explore the specifics of building soundscapes for animated shorts. Musical researcher Jakub Vlček will take the festival visitors on a journey to the past and his lecture will introduce Czechoslovak composers of music for animated films belonging to the world’s elite. Foley Studio BEEP will offer an extraordinary interactive experience – the visitors will have a chance to see what it takes to be foley artist and create their own sound effects for a selected scene from the film Deep in Moss.
Even “non-thematic” industry programme will offer many interesting things: Luce Grosjean from the French distribution company Miyu Distribution will share tips how to best present animated shorts and Slovak filmmakers from Ové Pictures will recapitulate a decade of their work. CEE Animation Forum, the most important networking event for animator in CEE and SEE will this year take place online. The visitors of Anifilm will however have a chance to see the pitching of all four categories online screened in the Mirror Hall of Chateau Liberec. Czech projects in development will be introduced during a pitching event at the Animation Espresso.
