Shuma

Lucija Mrzljak | Estonia | 2016 | 7 min

With Shuma (along with Corner), Lucija Mrzljak successfully finished her animation studies in Tallinn. Corner

Lucija Mrzljak | Estonia | 2016 | 3 min

This visually minimalistic short film in the best tradition of Estonian humour deals with the hardships of life in a corner where two angles meet. In the middle of one performance he makes a mistake and the people who have so far adored him, leave. Left alone, he meets a woman who is made for him. The theatrical performances continue.

The Stork

Lucija Mrzljak, Morten Tšinakov | Estonia | 2020 | 16 min

Lucija Mrzljak eventually settled in Tallinn, where she now works in the famous Eesti Joonisfilm studio. Inspired by the Estonian weakness for absurd situations and hard-to-grasp phenomena, which entirely organically become parts of the heroes’ everyday lives, and drawing with simple lines, she has made a captivating film about relationships and the longing for freedom.
