Mimi and Lisa – The Garden

A new feature film with the popular Slovak animated characters! The film, with a clear environmental message, starring Lisa and the blind Mimi has only recently entered distribution.
Mimi and Lisa are best friends. One of them is blind, but that doesn’t affect their friendship in any way; on the contrary. They teach each other generosity, tolerance and openness. A yellow container appears in their yard and the neighbours soon start filling it with old and broken things. Lisa is curious about what Mimi will throw out and is surprised when her friend doesn’t get rid of anything. For Mimi, all old things represent fixed points and little certainties in the dark. Behind the container, the girls discover a secret door leading to the beautiful garden of the miraculous Magic Maker. However, this idyllic world is disrupted when all the things thrown away in the container form a giant monster that starts ravaging the garden. It even swallows the Magic Maker whole!
Mimi and Lisa decide to save the garden and the Magic Maker. The girls find out that even material things have to be approached with love and respect and that every object has its purpose. The film has a clear message: it’s time to realise one’s responsibility towards the world and start to actively reshape it.
