Anyone who wants to make it in show business must perform in Redshore City, the entertainment capital. But the city is controlled by a ruthless wolf named Jimmy Crystal and without his permission, you can’t even open your mouth in the city, let alone sing. Although the koala Buster Moon puts together a team of star singers (the porcupine punk rocker Ash, the timid elephant Meena, the sensitive gorilla John and the cheeky pig Gunter), it’s almost certain that an audition with Jimmy Crystal will end in total disaster. Buster takes a huge risk (something that worked for him repeatedly in the first film) and promises the bored Crystal that if he lets them perform a show in his city, Buster will cast the biggest music legend alive, the lion Clay Calloway. The trouble is that Calloway retired years ago and refuses to perform, and most likely, the last person who could convince him to do so is an annoying koala. But Buster believes that every dream comes at a price and is willing to do whatever it takes for his dreams to come true.
