A spa is a perfect place for seduction. Naked bodies, steam, sweat and an almost palpable sensuality. A masseur catches the eye of one of the ladies in the spa and becomes the target of her lust. Their tantalising game begins with a massage, after which the protagonist finds himself in a maze of feelings and bathing bodies. Thanks to the film’s magnificent 3D animation, viewers can experience strong feelings of bodies.

In the Upper Room

Alexander Gratzer | Austria, Hungary | 2022 | 9 min

Each year, a young mole visits his blind grandfather in his burrow deep underground. As the years go by, their relationship becomes increasingly intense and important questions arise. The film’s style, combining a certain naiveté and absurdity with philosophical overtones – which the author used in his previous film – builds on refined dialogues.

Crush On

Shu-yu Chu | Taiwan | 2021 | 5 min

The moment I saw you, it was as if a train had gone through my head… The author manages to depict the fleeting moment when one experiences the ‘crash’ of love at first sight with a metaphor of an uncontrollable train hurtling through the streets. We find ourselves in a Gondryesque world inside the head of the young protagonist, where the artificial meets the real.
