Who will pick this year’s Animorfa winners? And who will help shape the festival with their presence? The best games will be picked by a jury composed of Eva Marková, animator, illustrator and game developer working on the acclaimed game Phonopolis in Amanita Design, Vojtěch Buchta, 3D graphic, motion designer and pedagogue and game developer, and Onat Hekimoğlu, Cologne-based game developer and music composer.
The best abstract and non-narrative titles will be picked by Canadian experimenter Steven Woloshen, known for his film made using direct animation, Wiola Sowa, Polish filmmaker and pedagogue known for her refined short films, and Jan Brukner, Czech VR specialist and art director.
Another three renowned personalities sit on the jury of the short and student films competition: Georgian producer and director Mariam Kandelaki, German festival curator André Eckard and Belgian director Emma de Swaef known for her work with felt puppets. Anifilm visitors are surely familiar with her festival hits Oh Willy… and This Magnificent Cake.
Our jury of the Anifilm feature film competition is composed of Milorad Krstić, a versatile Slovenian-Hungarian artist and director of Ruben Brandt, Collector, Hugh Welchman, British co-director of the fully painted animated films Loving Vincent and The Peasants, and Czech producer Alena Vandasová of MAUR Film. Her filmography includes, among other titles, Daria Kashcheeva’s films Daughter and Electra.
